Identifying and repairing dissections that matter

Marianne Brodmann (Graz, Austria) quizzes Michael Lichternberg (Arnsberg, Germany) at LINC 2019 on his choice of tools to identify and repair dissections in both the superficial femoral artery and below the knee.

If there is dissection that shows a haemodynamic impairment of flow, Lichtenberg takes this as a general rule that treatment is called for. He draws particular attention to the Tack Endovascular Systembeing a good tool in the treatment of below-the-knee disease in its 4F iteration.

Brodmann, Marianne

Marianne Brodmann is a vascular specialist at the Medical University of Graz, Austria. She has trained in internal medicine at the University Hospital of Graz and Minnesota and her main focus, after specialising in vascular medicine (angiology), is doing peripheral endovascular procedures. She is involved in many trials dealing with new endovascular techniques in both claudicants as well as critical limb ischaemia patients.
